Technical difficulties are setting back the Anroid’s 4.4 KitKat update for HTC One. In UK, for owners of HTC One Mini and HTC One, it was a very happy moment to know that KitKat’s last level was to go live. However, some technical gremlins have unfortunately pulled down the update.
A statement was being sent by HTC to Android Central where they had vaguely explained what had been going. It said that they are aware of limited number of users of HTC are facing difficulties with the update of KitKat. Result of which is temporary suspension of all the FOTA updates.
They also mentioned that they are really working very hard on the quick resolution of the issue as commitment of HTC to its users to provide best mobile experience, is what stands prime and foremost for the company.
The speculation of the exact difficulties is still need to be done, where as rumors say that the damping battery life is causing the trouble. There is an expectation that the exact reason doesn’t come out to be that big and a quick resolution will just do the thing. Pertaining issue of Android fragmentation is being looked at, and is going to be tackled.
If an update comes, and that update goes in no time then it doesn’t help a bit. Only 1.4% handsets from Android, managed to receive the KitKat update last month. Almost equal to very old Froyo, that reached around 1.3 percent.
It is expected in a few weeks’ time, that the successor of HTC One is going to get revealed by the company. On the contrary, the company is working upon shifting its focus towards the low-end from market’s premium end, so that in future shifting of devices may occur.
